The Mpatapo symbol represents the bond or knot that binds parties in a dispute to a peaceful, harmonious reconciliation. It is a symbol of peacemaking after strife. It is a symbol of renewed connection between the parties that were split apart as a result of conflict.
Sankofa
The Sankofa symbol is an Akan symbol translated to mean, “go back to the past and bring forward that which is useful.” This depicts wisdom, movement, and new learning as time passes.
