The Institute of Paralegal Training and Leadership Studies (IPLS) is registered as a private Company Limited by Guarantee (not-for-profit) training and development institute under the Laws of Ghana, particularly the Companies Act, 2019 (Act, 992).
IPLS is governed by a Board of Directors. The Institute is certified by the Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (COTVET) as the TVET Provider as Competency Based Training (CBT) Trainer in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Paralegal and Leadership Studies. The Institute is globally recognised and accredited by the ADR International Register, a subsidiary of Global Network Group, an ISO ADR as a Professional ADR Training Institution in Ghana and beyond. IPLS is affiliated with the Ghana National Association of ADR Practitioners (GNAAP), the only Professional Regulatory Body for Alternative Dispute Resolution Practitioners in the Republic of Ghana. All alumni of IPLS are members become members of GNAAP members

Our Objectives
- To contribute towards the development of Ghana’s (ECOWAS) capacity in the delivery of ADR, paralegal and leadership services.
- To help sensitize Ghanaians generally on how to use language skills effectively to promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development as envisioned in Sustainable Development Goal 16.
- To provide paralegal support services for industries, Corporate bodies, Christian institutions, and Law-firms through training and capacity building.
- To provide professional training in industrial and labour law, and labour relations in order to meet the growing demands for labour and industrial relations practitioners within the labour front in both public and private sectors.
- To equip participants with adequate legal knowledge in the area of customary law, chieftaincy, and traditional leadership; governance, and development in order to facilitate the amicable resolutions of protracted chieftaincy, ethnic and communal conflicts
- To provide Consultancy services in ADR, Paralegal, and Management.
- To hold public sensitization lectures and workshops on leadership and development.
- To create and sustain an excellent centre for knowledge development.
Affiliation
The Institute is affiliated to the Ghana National Association of ADR Practitioners (GNAAP), an ADR professional regulatory body, whose membership our Alumni are privileged to obtain by virtue of our ADR training as well as the ADR International Register, a subsidiary of Global Network Group, an ISO ADR. Other affiliates include the Global Mediation and Arbitration Centre (GLOMAC) and African Centre for Conflict Resolution, Peace and Security (ACCREPS).
